Utah Jazz star Rudy Gobert made a joke about the Corona virus before it was positively infected by the deadly virus.
Reporting from the official NBA website, Rudy Gobert was positively infected by the Corona virus after undergoing tests on Wednesday (3/11/2020).
The news immediately had a serious impact. The NBA immediately stopped the 2019-2020 season competition indefinitely.
“The NBA has stopped the competition until further notice after Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert was positively affected by the Corona virus,” reported by NBA, Thursday (03/12/2020).
The incident that struck Gobert was in the spotlight because before it was positive for the Corona virus, the French basketball athlete had time to make a joke related to Covid-19.
Through videos circulating on social media, the joke was carried out by the Utah Jazz star after attending a press conference after his team lost to the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday (10/3/2020).
After answering questions from reporters, Rudy Gobert stood to hurry out of the press conference room.
However, before heading to the exit, the 27-year center had time to return and touch all the microphone and recording equipment belonging to reporters.
Whether by chance or not, one day after that, Gobert was declared ill. During a health check on Wednesday (11/3/2020), he was actually infected with the Corona Covid-19 virus.
Currently Rudy Gobert is being treated at the Oklahoma city hospital.
